1- You will need to find your routers address (gateway IP). To do this, click "start" and then "run" (or simultaneously hit the "windows" key and the "r" key).

2-Type CMD in the run window.

3-Then type IPCONFIG and after that take note of the default gateway IP.



4-Open your web browser and put your "default gateway" IP into the address bar and hit enter.

5-You will need to log in. If you don't know your username and password Try "Admin" , "Admin" .



6-When your in your router settings, try and find a button that says something like "Router Status" or "Connection Status". Something along those lines. Then click it and a window should come up.

7-Click the button that says "release". You will disconnect from the internet so read the rest of the tutorial before your hit release your connection!!



8-Unplug your router and modem. Leave it off for a while.

9-Then plug your router and modem back in. Log into your router again and renew the lease.

NOTE: If your IP didn't change, reset your router to factory settings. Then set up your router again as you normally would. Your IP won't be the same as before.
