Ubuntu 12.04 LTS using Google Chrome without any extensions.
I also could view it from Kali Linux, same browser.

I never really like Firefox in a linux os when it comes to viewing any type of media. I've always had better results with Chrome.

I will take a look into it thanks, I don't really like chrome though as I don't trust Google with their aggressive data collection policies.

Chrome does come with some plugins pre-installed so I will take a look through the list and see if there's anything that may be useful.

What if you simply save it to your computer rather then playing it in the browser?

That's what I did in the end, I just assumed it was supposed to play in the browser.

It played for me on Debian 7.6 too I just opened it with vlc.

To the topic : That dog is probably a very discipline one.
