Hello users of sinister.li I am new to SEing however finally managed to get a logitech G910 keyboard after many tries, so for people who live with their parents still,
What excuse do you say to them when they ask why there is a keyboard/mouse/headset etc

The best excuse would be to say you won a giveaway from youtube or similar. That way they wouldn't really be bothered to track down the giveaway and check as they will know it just comes down to random chance etc. Or if the items haven't arrived yet, you could say that you're going to buy it off of your mate for a cheaper price. Exactly like Strait McCool said , what I do with my parents is tell them about (legal) sources of income I have and they believe it. E.g. they think I sell paintings through an instagram account , and used that money to buy e.g. a keyboard.

You should straight up explain to them you committed wire fraud, and also depending how much you have stolen, you could also be charged with grand theft. Felonies! YAY!
