High value amazon refund #1
I’ve been looking into refunding a 3090 graphic card from amazon. The item is around 2k9 aud so DNA is pretty much hard as hell so not a viable option.
I think sealed box is the way to go as it weighs 1.3 kg so I can fill it with some junk inside. The problem however is that the item is sold not by amazon but only delivered by them. It’s still a relative big corporation in australia but I don’t know if the method works the same or not.

Can any part of the GPU be viewed externally without opening the box?

Is It an Amazon FBA?

No I don’t think it can be viewed by the outside. And it’s not fulfilled by amazon, just ships from amazon.

If It doesn't Involve an Individual seller on a personal level and the GPU Is fully enclosed In cardboard packing, then you're good to go.

For sure but the only problem is that I’m not sure how you would be able to reseal the package without them noticing.

I'm not aware nor have I researched how It's packaged by the manufacturer, so It'll be premature for me to comment.

Is It Centercom, MSY or Harvey Norman by any chance?

Also, who's the carrier service? Surely not Australia Post? I know that UPS, FedEx, CouriersPlease, Star Track, Toll, Amazon Logistics and DHL are also used.

It’s a 3090 MSI gaming x trio. It’s sold by Harris technology and ships by amazon, that’s all I got for its info. Does Harvey Norman makes it easier to do sealbox?
Also because it’s amazon delivery I’m kinda tempted with DNA although I haven’t done anything at 3k with dna before.

Harvey Norman Is not too difficult with In-store SEing, by returning the sealed box to their customer service counter and getting a refund/replacement thereafter.

If you opt for this, do It late on a Friday just before close of business. Employees are exhausted from the working week, not as alert and simply want to go home In readiness for the weekend. They also tend to be Inundated with customers during that period, hence will rush to process your return which works In your favor.

If you're comfortable and most Importantly confident with the DNA, by all means go for It.

Given the value of the Item, do check whether an OTP Is required when your package Is delivered. I'd say a signature Is a certainty, but easily manipulated.

Would that be the same for CentreCom and MSY?
Also I don’t have any experience doing SE at this value before but I do know that OTP is not a thing for amazon australia.

Go on youtube and type the exact model unboxing. Someone will have it opened from new.
I did this with my cpu before purchasing it so know how the seal works.

The problem with gpus is that they don't have seals on the outside box but rather static a bag wrapped around the gpe
