I'm a full Christian, and no one can prove God exists. Where was he during the Holocaust? Where is he doing wars? Where is he when you're down and suffering? He hides his face from everyone.

That is more or less exactly what I'm saying, that there are a ton of inaccuracies within the bible. Also, no I am not using the novel to discredit Christianity :3

Okay, so it looks like we haven't gotten anywhere besides on the same page.

But, I showed you the mistake you make when you claim that the Bible was simply written by man. In the sense that someone like me or you wrote it.

Also, the bible being edited over the years does not make people's beliefs false. The original authors were inspired by God. The later translations tried their best to reserve the original meaning and intent but that's very difficult and bound to make inaccuracies between the original. I don't think there are any huge discrepancies between today's versions of the Bible and the original to claim that they believe in something false. The general meaning is still there and Jesus' life is still beautifully articulated. I'm curious on what you have to say on this.

Did you mean to say you aren't a Christian?

No, I am Christian.

I wasn't aiming to say that religion is a sham(which it honestly is), what I was attempting to say is that you have to remember that Christianity isn't original, nor is it something solid. It was written by man, which means it can easily be CHANGED by man.

And he means that he's a christian.

I apologize. The rest of your post came off as contradictory to your first statement.

Bu...bu...but, I already went over the "written by man" nonsense. Something like the Bible cannot easily be changed. It's not as simple as editing a Wiki page. lol

I know, but have you seen the shit that we've edited in and out? :3 | It cannot be EASILY changed, but it can be. Anyways, let us end it here since we're now going in circles.

GG God, you win.

I haven't seen the stuff we've edited in and out. I'll have to look into it.

I don't feel like I won anything but thanks none-the-less. Always glad to open up opposing views to people.

You have to remember that the authors of the Bible were inspired by God. Meaning that they weren't just ordinary people writing their opinions and eye-witness accounts. Inspired, meaning God-breathed before translated. God put the words in the authors mouths. Think of God as the author, and the men as the writing instrument for a good visual. The authors were divinely guided. Arguing that the Bible was written by man does not discredit anything of the religions people follow.

Hmm... This is an interesting view, both of you are right.
The Bible is a book that's purposed to inspire people and explain things that happen, that could (and can) not be explained. It is very much a philosophical narration, inspired by what we call "god", and all the things he stands for. "God", is a word that sums up morals. Bible is a book that gives answers to those wondering.

P.S. Godly argument by God is Godly
