did Dell about 2 years ago with serial then proceeded with service tag. 240hz alienware and a 60hz. Havent done it ever since though, i got a good easy rep that only asked for serial and nothing else

I'll tell you about my first experience with it, too. First time trying to SE from Dell so I went and found a 24 inch 240hz monitor that should've went easy. I'm lucky to have gotten such an easy rep that time as they didn't really push me for a POP. My second time (Alienware laptop) was me doing the Photoshop method (harder than I thought until I found the Dell font). I've been trying for weeks since then to get another monitor, but I can't a good source of fresh/new/open box monitors (w/ service tags or SN in the pics). If anyone has any good source/store for that kind of thing, PM me :3

Now that im looking back at my SE's i did do it with service tag only actually, the S/N is also usually right above the service tag.

I mean usually they don't ask for S/N, but whatever terminology people like to use for this is cool lol

I’ve heard that they ask for the monitor’s picture with piece of paper where is s/n written or something like that. Is that true? I am gonna do dell monitor. I have sn, service tag, and I am gonna put it on the sticker on random photo of that monitor. I will create POP in photoshop. Do they need anything else? What if I don’t send back my old monitor which I don’t have? Will they start any police investigation? Please advise

So basically when i first did it i wasn't asked for a picture but for my second monitor they did but i sent a corrupted file i believe and kept on going with the story until they just proceeded to send it. Regardings to if they dont receive your "monitor" that really depends, they sent a bill attached to the alienware explaining that i need to send it back within a certain amount of days, etc. But i never payed it or had no one show up luckily lol.
