Given FedEx did not obtain a signature, they're liable for loss of goods. I'd be persevering with this (lack of signature), and remain adamant that the package was not received. If need be, request the claim be escalated.
The email was sent by “Resolutions and Follow Up” Team. Unsure if this is their escalation point. Regardless, those are my thoughts exactly. They’re essentially stating they believe FedEx over me with no evidence to prove they are right. I’ll give a call later and try to push the matter. Really avoiding getting PayPal involved.
PayPal should always be used as the last option, of which I believe It will succeed due to their Insufficient evidence of the package received by the account holder.
Make It clear to them that a package that's marked as delivered, does not conclude that It was personally received. Also, keep emphasising that FedEx Is responsible for loss of goods due to their Incapacity to obtain a signature, thus cannot verify the delivery.
