Help, Amazon wrong item question #1
Hi guys,
i bought an item(1) wich is sold and fulfilled by Amazon and tried to refund it.
I went with the "wrong item recieved" method and chose an item(2) wich has almost the same dimensions and weight, but it is sold by a third party and fulfilled by amazon and sent this item (2) back.
Today i was told on chat, that amazon sent the recieved item(2) back to me because this recieved item(2) was not purchased at amazon or sold by amazon. I didnt really understand this guy.
He told me just to send it back to amazon. He made a note, so people at the logistics know about it.
My question: should i just send the same item(2) back  and stick to my story or pick an similar looking item, wich is sold and fulfilled by AMZ and send it back?

This is why you should just stick with shipped and sold by Amazon for the wrong item. Should prevent this type of thing.
I'd just stick with the story. They obviously already know what item you sent in. Good luck. Let us know how it goes whichever way you choose!

Well, i thought, as long as the item is shipped by amazon it´ll be allright.
Seems they scanned the code on this item and it was not in the database. Or how would they otherwise know it?

No one is going to know exactly.
You could have asked them. Calling probably would've netted better results as well.

You sent the wrong item in - they told you they didn't stock that item - sending it back to you - noted it to your account and told you to try sending it back again? I'm I following correctly?

I agree. I find with the wrong item claim, it's best to call before you even let them process the item. That way you avoid an issue like this.

Generally with our forum, I figured this went without saying. However, recent discussion has led me to believe otherwise. People are encouraged to read and follow our rules, especially those regarding illegal content. You have been warned - @Oni

Almost. The custmeer service today said, he will note down  that returning the item back to me was probably only a misunderstanding by the logistic guys and i should just return the same item back to them. I guess noone at the logistic center made a note regarding this.

At the first time i called of course and they just told me to return the wrong recieved item, what i did. I just wanted to know today, what the status of my return is.

So in the end they accepted your "wrong item" which wasn't sold by Amazon?

No, not yet. I have to return the item back to them and they will look into it.
Should I stick to this item, or get an other  similar looking and similar named item , and return it instead?

I would stick with whatever you sent, I think it's too late to go back now. Please keep us updated on your situation. Out of curiosity, what was the item you're trying to get?
