Excuse my language English is not my first language.

Im a psychology major and social engineering is a thesis im thinking of writing on. I found this site abd interested to see how people practice these methods from a psychological point of view.

I actually found this site after stumbling across Mothered's website. Very informative and after seeing his methods they're actually quite obvious why they work.

I'm interested in why people do this. I saw a thread and it seems most do it for obvious reason. 1. buy things not on their budget 2. Can afford but want to save 3. The rush and the challenge. Seems most fall in 1 and 2 but serious social engineers fall into primarily 3.

Are there any legal problems or risks like going to jail, getting sued, etc.? Do most social engineers even think about this?

Also don't big companies use third party to black list customers on not just that company but all companies that use the database who return or refund too many times? Does using a VCC really protect the social engineer from this? Also what about their address, names, etc?
