Hardware project ideas?

I kinda feel like doing a more-hardware project. Here are my ideas so far:
- A manual typewriter because I'm weird (maybe something like this https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1...1004058625)
- Something like the Hemmingwrite/Freewrite, custom OS
- A smartphone, with an E-Ink display, custom OS
- A CPU

Help me choose between these? Maybe gimme other ideas?
