Hi,

Does anyone have any tips for opening a new Amazon account after a ban?

I tried to do a new email, on a new ip address, but alas i used a cc with my name on it, and they picked it up and banned my new account..

How does one go about starting to re-build an Amazon account after a banning? I imagine I will need a new CC, but what if my name is now linked in the system?

It's evident that this was the cause of linking your previous account to the new one.

Stating the obvious, change "every Identifiable detail"- Inclusive of the payment system, In your case, the credit card.

I used a different cc, but one that had the same name on it.

I guess I change every identifiable detail, except for the credit card. that is the hard one. Unless, of course, I go out and purchase a gift card CC.

Do you or anyone else have anyway to obtain a new CC, with a different name?

I'm surprised they're actually on your ass. I never really change much other than small details in address (splitting it into two fields, a random error I know will still lead to my house). For CC field, I usually just put in whatever my profile name is(usually a nickname or initials, never my actual name), I don't think there's any verification for that specifically (usually your cc just has to match your postal/zip code). Even when I've had to go through verification for new accounts, I select, I do not wish to provide document and they still approve those and allow me to make purchases. I wonder why they're being difficult with you. What exactly did you do on your prior account lmao

well I just did a rather large SE, so it makes sense they are on my ass. And I've had previous returns.

that is a great tip about the CC. I am pretty sure their system is just picking up my name, not my CC itself, so if the CC only needs postal/zip code, then i could just put a nickname and see if that works. that might work without issue.

Well, In terms of personal Identification, It's not different.

Change "every Identifiable detail" that's linked to your previous account.
