I just bought some new ram for my laptop and read i need to do this.

What is the best way? I have tiles on kitchen floor so i'll do it in there  but would touching a metal radiator be enough?

tbh just make sure you doint have shitloads of static electircity stuck on ya body..

If your RAM has a heat shield, use that to hold it. If it does not, hold it by the sides to avoid touching the chips.
Just touch something metal before handling components, your computer case should be steel or aluminium so you can touch that.

As long as you don't work on carpet, you have nothing to worry about. You'll end up touching your case in the process anyway when you're opening it.
