Gotta learn C by next week :c #1
Decided to join my Robotics club at my high school, they require all members to have a decent knowledge of C. I wish the teacher would rather pick Python, or even C++...

But what the teacher says, goes. So is there any good tutorials? I still gotta ask what kinda so called "Robotics Brain" we are using... But I just need some basic coding lessons on C.

Most core elements carry over. It's just learning the new syntax. Follow little projects online and documentation and you'll be fine.

I doubt you're going to learn it that well, given your time constraint. Practicing is your best bet.

If you know C++ then C should be easy to learn.

Yeah riight. You're obviously a little bit misguided or just a script kiddie. Netstat is a built in command in the MS-Dos system. Nano is a remote administration tool, and that's certainly not hacking. That's just pushing buttons and sending files to people.

Ontopic: That's a pretty short amount of time, anyhow I'd recommend you to start reading right away (Ebooks, Tutorials, Articles etc) google is your friend. And compiling is a pain in the ass in windows, I'd recommend using Linux as your enviroment. Together with the cc or gcc command in the terminal. You can use geany, nano, pico or your editor of choice for wrting your scripts. If you want to compile it CD to the file/dir and type cc myfile.c -o <name it here> or gcc myfile.cc -o <whatever name here>. To execute your compiled files (Which should be in elf format) CD to the file/dir & start the command ./filehere no extension is needed. Depending on which system you're using you might have to do a chmod +x first on the file and then repeat the previous step but with the file extension included (.elf)

You have to know C to be a programming? That was knew, I thought you could program it other languages too like perl, python, delphi, lua, haskell, scala, java etc.

Do you realize how stupid you make yourself right now? That post gave me cancer. Keep your greentext on 4chan where you actually belong, thank you.
