GoPro SE Fail - Help! 06-13-2018, 06:33 PM
#1
Just tried to SE a GoPro - £250 - from Amazon (sold by) and they have done an investigation and they are still denying me a refund.
I said that it blew up when I was at a park whilst it was charging so I threw it away (hence I cannot return it) and after doing their investigation they are saying that I need to return it even though I told them I threw it away.
I am considering either charging back via. my entropay or sending back the box with everything but the gopro inside.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Since posting this, they have blocked my account and I am about to email them the following.
Hey, this morning I was speaking with my wife about this whole incident, as she was the one at the park with my son, and she was telling me about how it is a shame that the camera broke sa she has had it so long, and i thought that was strange as i had only just bought the gopro, so i asked her which camera caught fire and she said my old gopro hero 4, which i have owned for several years now.
I am terribly sorry for wasting your time, is whole incident was caused by a miscommunication between me and my wife and I should have clarified with her before contacting you, but I was so angry at the time because of how dangerous the incident was.
All I request is that you unlock my account so that I can return the gopro, as I have decided that I no longer need it - or if you prefer, please can you send me a return label instead of unlocking my account.
Is this a good idea?

If your account is banned the chances of removing the ban are very low. But in my experience I don't think they've banned you just for this gopro fail. So it would be much easier to open another account, using VPN and another CC and address if possible.
Good luck.
