so i ordered a gaming computer and a headset, it was delivered by gls down to a departmentstore, in the departmentstore you only have to show sms and then you get the parcel, they DONT check ID.

Cant i just tell the company that i wrote wrong phonenumber and it was picked up by someone else? If they are not making you show id, how are they gonna prove it?

Meh, the chances of somebody with a cellphone number that's just a single digit different from yours and living in the same city/town as yours are very, very low.
If anybody was to use such an excuse with me, I'd laugh it off.

Human error Is Inevitable, hence they've handed "your package" to the wrong person.

Don't say anything other than you arrived to pickup your package, but It wasn't there.

Do they have CCTV cameras In place?

Okay, so im at a point where i could say i was wrong, or fire the trigger.

I dont know about cameras in the places, but GLS has asked me to sign a legal document that i didnt recieve it (i dont know if its acutally legal) but im a bit worried to sign it.

And how would they know that the CCTV is me and not the ''frauder''.

How much money are we talking about?
Can't you check if there are any CCTV's? If there are any, just sign the document as it is only a step that has to be taken.
What was your statement on the last SE?

1.3k euro - i never did an SE on this company before.

But theyre trying to investigate the wrong number i claimed was on the package.

So they're saying theyre sorry and wanna build a new machine for me, and i should go to the police with the report, they want to claim the money from GLS and then want me to sign the document that i didnt recieve it.. im thinking about do it, is it a legal document after all?

I'm pretty sure that if this document was legally binding it would be stated on it somewhere. Please read it carefully.
Personally I would sign it.

sworn statement on revieving parcel:
1. I declare that i did not recieve the parcel that was sent with GLS or other.
2. Ivestegation on the shop has not turned out where the parcel is.
3. I am aware that a wrong declarment on this document, could end in a punishable case.
