I got a 2 tb drive for Christmas and i shoved it into my PC and thought im going to put all my games on it and after moving every thing 70 installed games take 1.5 tb of space and that was just steam after i got everything moved from uplay blizzard exc i have around 100 gigs left on the drive now that my PC has most of the data organized im going to move my tb of movies and TV shows to a faster drive and the rest of my crap

P.S I have 11tb of storage space on my personal PC

This is very true. I know a lot of AAA titles are exceeding 50GBs now. And then all of the possible updates to the game. Developers don't really seem to be bothered by disk space anymore.

The capacity of games (and applications), Is growing with just about every new release/version.

In my computing environment, 2 TB Is the minimum storage.

It's becoming increasingly normal for games to take up >100 Gb, especially CoD/GTA/RDR2.

Agreed. I recently built a computer...like I finished it in December. The Epic Games store gave out a bunch of freebies for Christmas, and I installed like 4 of them. I have 9 games total on my computer, and I now have 1.3 terabytes left.
To be fair a lot of the games I have are mmos like Elite Dangerous and elder Scrolls Online, and MMOs take a lot of space by default.

i have been getting a lot of epic frees recently but most of mine are AAA games minus gta and gmod... games like dota 2 cod 4 and a game i love recently on epic called satisfactory that is porb the best early access i have played in a long time.

This is so true. It's very frustrating when using a laptop. I only have perhaps 4 games installed on the one I'm currently using, and that's about as much as I can touch. By the time the larger hard drives become cheaper, the games will be even larger.

As someone who uses a lot of private torrent trackers and hoardes all of their data, I totally understand your struggle. My drive capacity has kept going up and up and I'm approaching you now, I have 9tb of hdd storage space plus the 512gb ssd I have my programs and OS on.

One thing I've learned for files that I don't access very often (old movies, photos, etc) is you can totally overload a mega account with 1tb+ of data using a method, if ur interested PM me I'll tell you how. So I basically have a google docs with like 20+ mega accounts that all have torrented online courses, movies, old photos, and the works.

There's always an element of risk when storing files online.

If the site goes down, as with Megaupload In 2012 which was created by the same developer (Kim Dotcom) as Mega, say goodbye to your precious files.
