hi ive been trying to follow lots of threads regarding this subject and still trying to work something out .
if for example you are editing the prepaid royal mail label i can understand editing the qr code as it contains reference no, postcode and tracking no. but why do all the guides tell you to delete the tracking number on the right as the barcode above is also the tracking number?
surely it would look better to leave the tracking number there to make it look more authentic?
Or am i overthinking it?
thanks

Exactly this ^

Tracking must be shown as delivered from consignor to consignee. Moreover, packages are scanned at the collection point, at the carrier's depot and when they reach their destination, hence the tracking details must remain Intact. If they're missing, many carriers will generate a new shipping label- DHL Is one of a few who tends to do It.

Thanks for the reply, if i did decide to use this method i would leave the tracking number below the barcode just incase the post office staff spotted the mistake. Smile

I don't support the flawed so-called FTID method for reasons already stated on this board, but It doesn't mean I'll disregard those In need of assistance.

In answer to your question, the barcode represents the tracking number so there's no point In removing the tracking number Itself. The post office will definitely enter the consignment Into their system by scanning the barcode. This Is done for both record keeping and cost of freight, so to avoid needlessly raising suspicion, keep everything Intact.

May I ask what the 2D barcode contains , and should I edit this with my own 2D barcode data matrix and put on label with the fake address written on label ?

Is what you are saying applicable for all ftid? When they scan the label they will see the tracking number anyway?
Therefore keeping the tracking number always makes the label look less suspicious.

Show the example of label. In my country, dhl parcel label has three barcodes - one for tracking ID, second for address details and the third, but I am not sure what contains. I made a topic about it but no one answered.

I didn't suggest to remove It:

Thanks.
That's what I understood, keep it on the label because they see it anyway and it makes it look less suspicious.
