It shouldn't affect gameplay that bad unless it spikes a lot. You will only have a slight delay compared to everyone else. I think @Fury played 600 ping and he was able to function as well as anyone it only becomes a real problem if it spikes often

My internet usually isn't this bad, but my satellite internet has a limit of 10GB per month. After that 10 gigs is gone, you are restricted to these speeds. During the 10GB period, the download speed is over 20Mb/s
Don't ask why I chose this ISP.. it's because of the topography where I live (a canyon)... satellite is the only option.

Does anyone know how to hack an ISP?

No people don't get kicked. I have a medium-powered computer and it runs really well for me. I'm sure you'd be just fine. Usually plays better than minecraft for me.
