I'm not so convinced... If you were in a classroom that had less students and a seating plan that helped then sure. But I can think of countless occasions where staff didn't know we were texting/gaming on our phones.

During debate class someone was playing fortnite on their laptop and the teacher saw and couldn't care less

Varies from professor to professor. Surprisingly, I've had professors that didn't allow electronics at all. Had others that wouldn't care if you're playing Fortnite all class.
