I've filed countless reports on low value Items, and have yet to have an officer knocking at my door. The last thing you need Is to stress over the matter so If you're not comfortable with It, don't file a report.
Do you know approx. how long it takes to get my own PDF copy of the report so that Amazon can issue my refund?
It varies depending on their workload, and whether It falls on non-business days (weekend, public holidays etc).
It can be anywhere between 1 to 7 days.
I just got called saying they're sending an officer to look for cameras that could've picked up the incident. I told the officer I spoke to neighbors and asked if they had cameras, but nobody did. We're in a lower income neighborhood so its unlikely they have cameras, but I'm highly nervous and skeptical about all this. I had told him I asked my family if they found the package too. Is there a way for me to makeup something to get myself out of this situation so he doesn't investigate further and potentially find that a family member did pick up the package?
