Hello Friends,
My Firefox is using a lot of memory. Any idea how can I get the issue resolved quickly? I can't dispose the browser as I have a lot of data stored in it.

I've had similar happen in the past, normally it's addons or fixed by a reinstall. Had it happen less with other browsers.

Like everyone has mentioned, disable bookarks, check your tabs, or restart your computer. You could clear your cache and browser history
I believe those can slow your browser down if there's enough of it. If none of this works, try uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling. Just backup your data on a Firefox account or do it yourself by heading to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ and export everything there to a different folder.

I am assuming you are already on the most recent version, and have updated your browser. I am also assuming you already tried clearing the cache AND DIDN'T mess with "about:config"
(If You Haven't Please Try To & Reset About:Config)
Here's What I Suggest. Been Using It Since Firefox 31.0. Use It On My Androids & PCs.
First,
Go into Options ---> General,
Scroll Down Until You See Performance. Uncheck the Box and Set the Amount of Proccesses Firefox Can Use Yourself. If You Have 4GBs of RAM or Less Set it To 4, or Less. You May Need to Set it, Then Test Which One Works The Best Without Taking Up To Much Memeory.
Second,
Check Your Add-Ons. Each Add-On Gets it's Own Deticated Proccess (ish). If an Addon is Causing Memory Leaks, CPU Spikes, etc. It Would Show Via Firefox.
Last,
Check Your Temp Folder. If Your Unlucky Enough to Download Ad.Cookies, or Temp Ad-Ware, Then You'll Need to Delete Them. They'll Start Working When You Open Your Browser, and Massively Use Resources.
Hope This Helps & Remeber to Restart Your Browser After Each Step.

As others have mentioned/asked, what kind of extensions do you have installed and what kind of sites are you trying to access as those 2 alone can play a huge part in browser speed. How much RAM do you have as well?
