It's not that great of a reason why but it's definitely a reason - 6502 ASM brings me some money. I'm really into the retro gaming/vintage computing scene, and if you know system hardware between the 1970s and 1990s you may know the Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, and 8-bit computer lineup all run on a 6502 or simplified 6507, everything Commodore up to the C128 used a 6502 or 6502-based CPU, the NES and Famicom run on the Rioch 2A03/2A07 which use the MOS 6502 instruction set with added features, and the PC Engine/Turbografx 16 use the HuC6280 which is a customized 65C02 which shares the instruction set with the MOS 6502. So, I program a few homebrews now and then - I've sold a nice chunk of cartridges, HuCards, CDs, and tapes for various systems using games that I've made anyways. It's kind-of neat to see, really - it's by no means a large market, but it's definitely a lot of fun to design a game for an old system like that and have it sell a few hundred copies or even more depending on how popular it is.
Past that, there's really no use that I can think of for a 6502 that something like my Arduinos couldn't cover and do a million times more with so I don't use 'em much outside of the retro gaming/vintage computing scene. I do know a few other languages, but I never got too into programming outside of some Arduino stuff and little bits of my single-board computers so I don't have a great idea on what I like or dislike although I am trying to figure that out - C is enjoyable enough and Java sucks, that's what I've got so far anyways.
I enjoy situations like this as well. Limitations to what you can do force you to explore your options and get creative.
I do not do any business deals.
If anyone contacts you to do business with my name, it is not me.
