FTID v3 label barcode question #1
For a Purolator label as an example, should I also edit the PDF417 barcode in the middle, such as block-off a few pixels in the center of the barcode? Or leave it completely intact so courier can scan as usual without raising some alerts?
Any advice helps!! Thanks!!

Do not edit the barcode, as you said that's how the courier scan your package. But please do edit the maxi code that's besides that barcode.

Thank you! I only see that square MaxiCode on UPS labels. Any reason why should edit the MaxiCode? Does MaxiCode have similar function as PDF417 code so once courier scan it gives all original shipping infos?

Update:
I did a return label with V3, but left the barcode and PDF417 barcode intact. Now the tracking says it is delivered but delivered address is a mid-point courier center. The trace is like: from A (starting point) to B (mid-point courier center) to C (destination city), and back to B and says delivered.
I worried if I try SE with retailer the investigation will trace down with this FTID as it probably marked as "suspicious" package and sitting on the courier facility.

I did a SE a while back with the exact scenario you described. In the end, I just claimed that it arrived and they checked and fortunately "found" it.

Wow nice, I probably gonna wait another week or maybe longer to SE with the retailer since the amount is only about $200, but I wanted to wait til this is "cool down" a bit.

Exactly. I wouldn't contact them in a week or less. Wait around 7-14 days. Keep us updated.
