First and foremost, are they liable for lost shipments?

Glad you asked, I did go through their terms of conditions, Here some points I'll outline.

PCcasegear had very little regarding lost in transit orders, this is really all I could find regarding it and it doesn't even tell us much;
8.5 Claims for damage in transit, incorrect delivery or incorrect item receipt must be reported in writing within 3 days of delivery and the goods returned to PCCG within 14 days of approval. There is no cover offered for issues reported after this time frame.

Mwave.com.au will advise the Customer of estimated shipping dates, but Mwave.com.au will, under no circumstances, be responsible for delays in delivery, and associated damages, due to events beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation, acts of God or public enemy, acts of federal, state or local government, fire, floods, civil disobedience, strikes, lockouts, and freight embargoes.
