Hi all,
I am looking for a way, program, service to recover/remove the password for a 2016 Excel file, strong encryption, possibly 12 characters long. Tried passfab and some brute force/ dict programs like that and some online services (some let their machines run for 7 days - they only charge it they have success). Looks like until excel 2013 that was an easy thing to do but with newer version and strong encryption that seem to have changed. I didn't believe it would be that difficult. Any one has a good idea about that?

The default encryption algorithm for Microsoft Office 2016, Is AES 256-bit, CBC (Cipher Block Chaining) and SHA1.

AES Is pretty tough to crack. In fact, the NSA opted for this to be used with the US government.
