Ever Heard of This App? #1
So my girlfriend showed me this android app (idk if iphone has it) and it's called Tophatter.
It's an auction app that starts off very low. Example: I've seen laptops, desktops, drones, etc that value anywhere from $200 - $1100.
I've seen these kinds of things sold for even as little as $5 or $10.

I've read reviews & I don't know what to think. There's a few scam reports, but focuses on stuff coming from certain sellers, especially from China.
Then there's also alot of reviews saying it works great and they got their stuff and etc.

Anyone got an opinion?

Edit: 5/11/2016 - Received first order. So far it seems that this is legit. I suppose it's more a matter of the seller.

A lot of the good reviews look super fake on the google play page and there are a good amount of bad reviews. It doesn't seem pay per bid though which is good.

Thank you.

From the Google Play reviews it looks sketchy to me. Most of them are rigged. I saw a Galaxy Tab 3 being sold for $2. The bids seem too cheap to be true.

Never heard of it but it would be cool to see someone do a review of some type on it. Like to see if its even legit/real.

All of these "penny auction" sites are complete and obvious scams. There are thousands of them.

I've heard of similar apps, they're either a scam or they have other ways to make money off you.
If it was legit there would be a minimum requirement to be met before an item sells. Laptops/electronics would never sell for a few dollars.

I know what you mean. Surprisingly, I received 3 orders now and all are legit.

Well, now I've gotten 3 of my orders and my fiance's friend got hers. So far it's all legit.

People fall for stuff resembling camwhores and virtual camgirls, I don't see why it'd be so hard for them to fall for an application that is supposedly regulated by those who work for Google Play. People are all sorts of dumb. Some more than others.

Well so far it's legit. I've received a few orders now & all of them are what they say they are.
