Just wanted to see what you guys take is on the ethical side of SE

Me personally I don't like doing anything that will put someones job in jeopardy, like a delivery man who will get a strike on his file when you DNA, plus I get a load of deliveries as I run a small business from my home so I know most of the delivery men, that's why I mainly try to get items using serial numbers etc when I have never had the item in the first place
I also only go for the big corporations who can afford the loss of an item or two, rather than the small businesses that are tying to make a living

Whats your guys thoughts or justifications?

It's perfectly fine.

Put simply, In my 30+ years of SEing entities on every scale, I've never targeted anyone on a personal level and never will. Major organizations/firms profit In the millions/billions, so hitting them pretty much speaks for Itself.

Completely agree, by hitting them you aren't putting anyone's livelihoods at stake and are barely putting a mark on their profits, the only people that you may be hurting is the shareholders and even that is at a push

The shareholders Will not feel a thing, most of the lost goods are held as losses and Will be deducted in tax and what not. Also they are already SE'ing IRS, or other taxing organisation themselves, most people dont realise that the amount big business is paying in taxes is far less than theyre supposed because modern accounting theres No downside to filing wrong books, unlike in the movies.

I used to target anyone companies and users, with basic and public methods such as DNA, EB, partial etc.
I started again SEing/Refunding a few months ago but now I don't target any more single users (unless some exceptions) but only companies.

Absolutely.

The cost of some Items are ridiculously high and not worthy of their purchase, so SEing them justifies your actions.

Another thing that has to be considered, is that the price what you pay for the item IS NOT what it costs them to send you a new one. The majority of items and products, especially from major companies have a mark up of 100-200% plus, so a £100 rrp item might only cost them £30-50 out of pocket to send you, maybe even less.

No harm at all in hitting large corporations

Without naming specifics, In my line of work, the markup Is anywhere between 500-800%.

That's all costs taken Into account- manufacturing, Importing, administration, warehousing and freight distribution.

Bloody hell, I didn't think it would be that much, hopefully this puts some perspective about large corporations for other SE'ers who target small businesses more

Side note: @mothered I sent you a PM the other day regarding Logitech, did you receive the PM?

It's just a general example of how businesses do have the capacity to markup their goods to such a high value.
