Thanks for the Info.

Yes I'm aware of this.

It's not too difficult to create new accounts, so It's certainly well worth It.

They didn't check with anyone
Thankfully they didn't bother referring to CCTV footage.

The same applies to Amazon, but multiplied by 1000+.

Yet, they still (at times) assess claims with a fine-tooth comb.

ASOS right now are doing partial box through reps on livechat as long as the order total is under £150. Anything above that and they can't give an instant refund and requires an 'investigation'.

Good to know, are you from UK? Seems like ASOS in Germany is quite easy, they refunded my 500€ partial instantly without hesitation, same with my friends who did it 2 days after my try.
I should have stated I'm talking about the German ASOS tho, my fault, the thread was focused on UK directly. Thanks for clearing up.

But if ASOS is harder, you can definitely go for Represent, as I already said, they ask for little information until they give you the typical document to sign. After that, they refunded immediately. I gonna try a new method on Represent soon and gonna keep you informed.

Yep UK.

Represent failed when I tried them about 18months ago and that was for only one t shirt!

I've got an aged account with around £900 spent now so maybe worth trying them again.

Damn, looks like UK gets abused a lot. In Germany we have issues with Amazon tho, really hate it, really hard to get refunds done.
I did Repesent with a new account but I did it while sales, from my experience, refunds are given away faster on sales because they have just way more to do.
I'm starting as a customer care rep for a company soon and am very interested to learn about "anti-fraud" guidance. Think would be really helpful, even though we are selling groceries.

Yup, new accounts also benefit from 20% off.

I've just had another come through today with ASOS. £120 out of £148 refunded.

ASOS seem to go through spells of being easy then really difficult to hit. Fear they will notice this being abused alot soon and resort back to more thorough investigations.

You're not wrong there.

I've experienced a mixture of both.

Be careful - they have CCTV cameras monitoring the movement of stock.

That's exactly why I choose to do partial.
They didn't check with anyone, there is a shit-ton of work done, thousands of orders send on a daily basis while fast fashion also comes with a lot of issues. They won't have the time to double-check every refund the customer care does. I have to add that it's always about the order sum, mine was 500€, even though 800€ is definitely possible. I don't disagree with you when they do keep investigating they may come at you even though in Germany you have to clarify you're not lying by signing a document if they don't that's on them. At ASOS, not the case. And my guess is there won't be any investigation when nobody asks you to sign stuff.

I would go for it and even when it fails, you can just go to the return page and click on the stuff you want to give back. Easy and without lying about how the ordered stuff magically appeared again in your hands.

Small edit: To clarify, I don't really know much about the "Please sign this document to assure you aren't scamming us" process, I signed multiple documents nothing happened. I think it's to scare people but I won't say you can't be busted if you don't sign anything.

PLUS: Forget to say, I did Represent for 700€, told them there was no clothing inside and some kind of paper-like garbage. I talked with them, created some pictures where I put toilet paper inside the bag (just like it does not look like typical toilet paper of course and waited. They forgot about my email, after 3 days I send another one and it got refunded within 1 hour. My friend did it 4 times with the same address until they just stopped responding haha.

I’m looking to do a sweatshirt that’s worth £179 (it’s a sweatshirt). Will it work if I order 2 t shirts worth around 10-20£ and just say they arrived but the sweatshirt didn’t or should I order more clothes?

What store are you talking about?
Partial is always easier but in the past couple of days, I have seen partials failing miserably because of weight issues.
But in my experience, ASOS is easy and do as you stated. With Represent, I would suggest you rip open a bit of your package on the side and tell them. Depends where you are but Represent ships from US and EU and it's a long way to a lot of countries. It's going to a lot of different hands so it's quite easy to think about someone ripping it open and taking the most expensive item out.

I’m talking about asos. Do you think I should order an additional jacket to mask the weight?
