EB method #1
Hi, I have some questions about how the empty box method works, for example if I am SE'ing airpods from amazon, should I say that the actual box of the airpods was empty or the shipping box had nothing inside?

The eb method works by claiming that an item weighing less than 120grams is missing from the product box. Example... for the airpods you would say that upon opening the actual airpods box, it didn't have the airpods in them. Don't claim that there was nothing in the shipping box, only claim nothing was in the actual product box. Reason for that is because shipping scales don't record a weight of 120grams or lower, meaning they can't prove anything was actually in the product box.

Hope this helps

they will most likely ask you for a police report, just putting it out there.
for my last claim they wont budge before the police investigation is finished even, though I think it's just their policy as of now

How does the police report end up tho? If you say that the box was undamaged and untampered?

It's pretty pointless for the seller (Amazon, Apple...) to ask for one in such a case, but still... they do.
Some police officers will look at you like "why would you even want to report this to us, it's not our business".
Everything I post here is fictional. Anything mentioned on my posts that corresponds to events that happened in real life is coincidental.

Interesting so amazon pretty much is just trying to scare off people from SE'ing them with the police reports?

I feel like some reps are really too dumb to understand the pointlessness of asking for a PR in an EB case.
