Yes, if you take a look on here 9/10 times it's a failure. One guy ended up getting a refund and then they contacted him after telling him he sent the wrong item. 1 other guy succeeded and I told him to report back because they may very well reach back out. If it's an expensive item, I imagine they're definitely checking because they're aware of what's going on. Amazon seems to have expanded their fraud/account specialist team in the last year. They've also taken a lot of measures through carriers to avoid being boxed (in Canada at least), particularly to fight the rampant FTID/LIT.

I'm curious, what was the value?

Generally with our forum, I figured this went without saying. However, recent discussion has led me to believe otherwise. People are encouraged to read and follow our rules, especially those regarding illegal content. You have been warned - @Oni

The value wasn't that high, around 300 euro. I guess we have to find different/better ways to get the job done. One more thing that makes me wonder... the item was an SSD  and the only way to find out the item was different was if they connect it to a computer, because it looked exactly the same as the original item...
It's got to be because a lot of people do SSDs. I can't see the value being the issue. Looking at the SSD there's not unique identifiable #? It seems a little extreme for them to do all that.

Yes.

They've been checking sealed box returns for a few months to date.

I fully agree.

It was just a matter of time before they started realizing what's going on.
