User Trust Verification & Allowing users to moderate their own threads 09-16-2020, 02:39 PM

i think that when someone creates a thread i think that they also should be able to control the replies that follows it
Benefits:
- There would be less spam posts
- Less work for staff to filter what users posts
Cons:
- This can be badly used as censorship of some sort, for example, if someone shares a malware, they could remove the warnings from others users
(a good way to prevent this would be to have a user verification system, to prove that this user will not abuse their power on their own thread, adding a form would be a great idea to implement for the verification. (PS: being able to unlock the option to ask for trust verification should be used, this will prevent from users spamming forms, aswell as a delay between form completions). people using it to censor others should get their verification removed)

User Trust Verification does not mean sinister.ly is related to the user's content, the verification status is used to show sinister.ly trust this user enough to let them manage their own threads.
