i am very old member, maybe my profile settings are related to the date of account registration.

1) I have today noticed that my date of birth was displayed. It should not be by default for privacy reason.

2) Second thing, you restrict password length making hard to use strong passwords generated by password managers like Proton Pass. Please see if you can lift or increase characters limit.

3) it would be handy if i can change my username myself

4) text contrast to dark background should be increased by making the font color less grey and more white. Text is currently not enough readable when you set lower brightness on your display.

• Your DOB is currently shown as "Hidden" on your profile. I'll consider making that the default state, though.
  
• I will check if an increased password length is feasible with our current encryption, but it is very likely we can accommodate that.
  
• You can change your username, using SP (forum currency) here. You can also message me, to request an exception.
  
• I will consider font color changes, but that deserves its own suggestion thread. Plain #FFFFFF would be blinding on the current theme.
