So as the title really, made an order with curry's that i wasn't planning on SE'ing , and they actually legit sent me the wrong item.

Question - How much of a headache is this going to be?! Better buckle up i suppose , this is gonna take a while.

This is going to be interesting, I'm pretty sure I read that they have cctv so it should be pretty straight forward.

I wonder if this happens often from Currys and if so, if the SE method could be a good alternative to EB or DNA

By interesting you mean really hard work? Probably be easier to SE Them than have them accept their mistake. To describe the customer service rep's i spoken to so far, i would say Confused, Inept, and downright Rude.

Though what they sent me was a similar weight, to what i ordered the boxes are very different so their CCTV should show the vast differences in colours ... Hopefully. Guess this is where we find out if the CCTV thing is a bluff!

When I got genuine missing items from John Lewis they were able to verify through CCTV pretty quickly that I was telling the truth.

You have the evidence on hand, hence as long as you provide all details of the wrong Item received, you shouldn't experience major complications.

Update : Got back to me today saying there is an issue with their cameras but they are going to refund me anyway, my suggestion of "how about just ship me what i ordered" was met with pretty much disgust. Hopefully this will be the last of it but knowing curry's... Who knows!
