So ive just ordered the Apple Watch Series 3 38mm from Currys which weighs about 26,7g according to the website.

I read @mothered blog and came to realise that would be the perfect item as its under 120g (non weighable) and its shipped by Currys (No CCTV footage in warehouse). Once I receive it im planning to just ring up and keep it short and simple. “hi, my parcel did not have my contents inside of it, this is my first time shopping with currys, im disappointed”.

Hopefully after confirming the missing item, I should receive a refund as theres no possible way for them to prove the package came to me with something inside it.

All advice is appreciated to make this process smoother. Many thanks!

Don't give anymore details than you have to. Keep It short, simple and straight to the point. Once the claim Is In motion, you can elaborate accordingly.

The 27 grams Is based on the watch Itself, so you'll be SEing that alone. The entire Apple packaging adds more weight to the consignment, which Increases the chance of detection.

@mothered just a quick question, if i tell Currys the apple product was missing from the apple box, wouldnt that make it a higher chance of them asking to have that sent back to them with a replacement being sent out once i send it back? Which then defeats the purpose as id want the box and the watch and id be left with only the watch.

Simply tell them you've disposed of the box. Why keep It to collect dust?

After all, logic has It, the Item claimed as missing Is of concern and not Its packaging.

You're SEing the "watch", correct?

So why would It defeat the purpose? A cardboard box holds no value.
