So i did this with the samsung watch today. Had no trouble, Went on the chat and the agent said he would arrange an exchange for me.  DPD are gonna come and get it and he said a refund within  5 days

Sounds good to me then. I'll probably send the charger back as well to be safe and just pick one up off amazon. Is there any chance of an issue at this point?

What Curry's didn't question anything and they are arranging for the box to be collected so you can get a refund? No investigation? Did you use a guest account/fresh account/ or an account with purchase history?

Yeah I've ordered a few items before spread over a few years. Usually white goods (tumble dryer, freezer)

Just went on chat and said the watch wasn't in the box. Didn't question me at all, seemed too simple
