I got the SSD today and, with the box, it weighs 0.4lbs but the item alone is 96g. Is that a problem or should this be a fairly easy claim to make?

The entire contents weigh 181 grams, which Is too heavy to claim the lot.

As such, use the missing Item on the SSD- 96 grams.

Alternatively, could I claim DNA? Sadly, the delivery person took a photo. However it's almost 9 pm here and I could claim I was asleep and the package was gone by the time I woke up.

Judging by what you've written, you didn't sign for the delivery which suits the DNA perfectly.
