Counter for Daily Tasks #1
We have this Daily Forum Goals, but it is a little bit unclear how much time we got left. So my suggestion would be some kind of a timer for the goals so we know when to reach them by.

RE: Counter for Daily Tasks #2
I really like this idea! I always wonder when we are supposed to meet the goal. We typically always meet the goal, but I'd love to know how long is left.

I actually like the Idea.

Having a status bar of some sort, will serve as an Incentive to members In achieving the board's daily goals.

There isn't really a "countdown", because that's not how it works. It persistently counts how many posts are made in the past 24 hours. Meaning, if it's 6:00 AM now, then it counts all of the posts until 6:00 AM yesterday. Say an hour passes and it's 7:00 AM, then it counts the posts until 7:00 AM yesterday. Let me know if I haven't explained well enough.

Average is roughly 150.

Average is roughly 150.

It seems like you record the average at a specific time?

Simply put, It works on a 24 hour window from one point to another and keeps doing so within a 24 hour time-frame.

To dispel any misconceptions, here's a snippet of the current source:
Code:
$plain_date = TIME_NOW; $time_span = $mybb->settings['forum_goals_time_span']; if($time_span == 1) {   $start = TIME_NOW - 86400;   $end   = strtotime("tomorrow", $start) - 1;   $time_span = $lang->daily;

A couple years ago you'd be right, as this used to be the source:
Code:
$plain_date = TIME_NOW; $time_span = $mybb->settings['forum_goals_time_span']; if($time_span == 1) { $start = strtotime("midnight", $plain_date); $end = strtotime("tomorrow", $start) - 1; $time_span = $lang->daily;

This is intentional, as "midnight" is determined by the server's time (which I'd prefer to avoid using).
