Ubuntu is ok if you are brand new to linux but once you get to grips with the basics most people install something else

Of course there are hundreds of distros out there. The reason why I specifically mentioned OpenSuse is due to it being as simple and user friendly as Ubuntu and Debian.

I personally tried Ubuntu a while back and I personally didn't like it. There's no multi-finger support for mousepads on Ubuntu, Brightness changes back to default no matter how many times I change it to my liking etc.. There's quite a lot more to mention but I don't want to make this too lengthy.
