I can vouch that Codecademy is really helpful and it gave me a better understanding of writing Python code.

I can tell from my own experience that Code academy is a great website. I basically learned HTML & CSS in there I started to learn basics in College and got more advanced using Code Academy I also learned JQuery from there now I am learning Java Script anyway I am not still not a pro but its a great website to start learning basics and slowly getting bit by bit more advanced.
