Hopefully it hurts it; when i went to Asia it seemed like every other person was smoking. Billions of cigarettes are consumed a day there, and it just isn't good for the people.

Great move, I hate people that smoke. The fume stinks so much. I every country in the world bans smoking. The environment will be so much better. It's not going to affect much since the majority of China can still smoke at other places. Besides, having a law is one thing but truly enforces it is another.

That is probably true because they have one of the highest populations.
Also china seems to be making big moves lately.
They also got rid of their 1 child policy.
Always looking for a business opportunity.

I think it will be similar to what happened in other parts of the world. Unfortunately, it's true that many people in China smoke. I noticed it myself when I was over there, and it would make a big difference if smoking were not allowed in public places, especially markets. One of the hardest things to adjust to was seeing people smoke in restaurants and cafes while they were working or preparing food. It happened a few times, and it really put me off eating in the place.
It's a great move in my opinion. Good on them. I am curious whether or not it will change any statistics regarding tobacco manufacture and sales.

Yeah, it needs to happen with as many as they have over there. I can imagine a restaurant becoming a health hazard at that point lol.
