Where would you prefer to live?

To be honest, I do not know. I certainly do not want to stay in the UK if it keeps the way it's going, and I used to like the idea of moving to America, Texas specifically but due to recent events I'd rather not. Possibly Germany or maybe Denmark but I have not put much thought in to moving, as it is at least 10 years before it would be a serious thing. But even with those 2 countries are still in the E.U and are burdened with the terrible polices they hold. All nations have their downfalls.

Spoiler:
I've always wondered what living at sea would be like. Not cost efficient obviously. But if you got a small group of people together (10-20) and got a pretty nice boat and armed your self's you could probably live at sea. There your small group would set your own laws and live how you wanted to. But that has all the down falls of Anarchy and then some.

The main issue with the things America does is because of how big and powerful it is. If their economy crashes the whole world is effected. If they go to war, the country they attack is going to have a hard time because of Americas ludicrous defense spending. And other countries that are ailed with either side are dragged in, and other countries will aid one or the other. When America launches a spying program they get other countries to do it to (UK - GCHQ).

Also, some of the bad things are the reason America does so well. They are spying on half the world, they would know if anything was going to happen. Thanks to their defense budget they are practically untouchable to any current single nation. And thanks to the total pig that is their government, practically anything can be bought. Like buying out a news source to indoctrinate it with bull. Or teaching kids from the earliest age that they need to "Pledge elegance to the flag" essentially telling them they are stuck with what is there.

But alas, the whole world is fucked anyway. Soon, everything will be fire.

tl;dr idk I'll just stay here in the UK.

How the fuck do I talk so much shit from a single question even I hate my self. I'm just a rambling moron at this point, feel free to disregard me as your racist uncle sat at the water cooler.

Asides from mass-surveillance, you actually mentioned a lot of reasons (although I won't state if I agree/disagree) why the United states would be great to live in:
  • "they would know if anything was going to happen"
  • "practically untouchable to any current single nation"
  • "practically anything can be bought"

You should take a look at this: http://www.oecdbetterlifeindex.org/

You'll see that while the US does have a lot of problems, the standard of living is pretty high. Based on that index, there's only a handful of places I'd actually consider moving to. Most of which, English isn't the first language in. Also, they aren't nearly as large.

That's is what I was saying. Although these things have these upsides are you really okay with it, the spying, the indoctrination, the corruptness.

They know if something will happen because of mass surveillance. That is a very bad thing considering they do it to their own people as well as most of the world.
Any thing can be bought is a terrible thing. You can't really suggest that a world where the highest bidder has the power over everything is a good place to live.
Yes, I guess the untouchable part is true but as I said, current single nation. If the EU got its heads together America could do nothing if there was a war. Same way if China and Russia got together.

That Better Life Index is pretty interesting. I might have an extensive look at that.

On the topic of language, I hope that in my life time there is a good basic world wide language developed that actually sticks and works.

Our country has its ups and downs, our government has its corrupt ways of doing things, we may be hated. But still America is always #1 to help countries in need, #1 with a lot of things. Not all countries may like it but the US is the world leader. Does that mean China or some other country will not advance in the future no but for now US is #1.

I dislike a lot and I mean A LOT of things about this country but there is still no denying the facts.

You said American made, not American developed, or owned. Even for the developed part, you can't know the whole team that worked to develop the hardware/software and who had inputs. Example: Intel designing a processor. They might, more than likely will, have more than just Americans on their development team.

I think you're muddying owning/developing with what you actually said, "made".

Yes, America is also #1 in:
  • Incarcerated citizens per capita - Most lawyers per capita
  • You spend the most on military, the next 25 countries combined total what you spend
  • Highest divorce rate per capita
  • You export more weapons that any other country
  • Number of adults that believe angels are real
  • The highest amount of credit card debt in the world
  • BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE

As I said before as well, just by America being #1 it is harming every one else or putting potential pressure on companies, Governments or what ever else.

[*]Incarcerated citizens per capita - Most lawyers per capita (Better look at NK my friend)
[*]You spend the most on military, the next 25 countries combined total what you spend (Yea so our country is better equipped)
[*]Highest divorce rate per capita (Love don't always work, claim is useless)
[*]You export more weapons that any other country (And your point is?)
[*]Number of adults that believe angels are real (Absolutely a crock of shit and just another lame excuse)
[*]The highest amount of credit card debt in the world (Still more wealthy then your country)

Any the US is actually helping companies and businesses so that claim is invalid.

And so your saying Bill Gates didn't work his ass off to develop Microsoft. Steve Jobs didn't work his ass off as well? You cannot just pull a team out of your ass immediately to develop something. It in almost all cases starts from 1 person then builds up to a team, then builds up to a company and then a multi national company.

I love all of the false claims from other countries though. Come here, live here and see for your self. What you seen on google or the "MEDIA" especially from foreign countries is in most cases false or tweaked to seem worse then it truly is.

I am not going to sit here and argue, I have better things to do and I am far too mature for this shit.

Believe what you want, believe in what your country feeds you through the media and news as well as what random people from different countries post on google, and live the happiest life you can. Best of luck to ya.

What is NK? I actually double checked this now, Seychelles has 150 more. But that is a third world country. But does disprove my statement, sorry. If you meant North Korea by NK then they are guess work figures, not solid facts and still are only at the very highest 200 higher.
[*]You spend the most on military, the next 25 countries combined total what you spend (Yea so our country is better equipped)
No, you just threaten the rest of the world stopping any hope of peace.
[*]Highest divorce rate per capita (Love don't always work, claim is useless)
Divorce causes issues for children by potentially leaving them in foster homes or put in to the adoption system. This also proves that people are generally unhappy, or making brash decisions.
[*]You export more weapons that any other country (And your point is?)
Weapons are bad, m'kay. The world could work with out war, and that should be a world that we should all be striving to achieve
[*]Number of adults that believe angels are real (Absolutely a crock of shit and just another lame excuse)
Lame excuse for what? That this is a bad thing? You really thing adults that think some magic floating people exist that have a direct line to a man in the sky.
[*]The highest amount of credit card debt in the world (Still more wealthy then your country)
America is bigger than the UK. That's like comparing me, to Michale Jordan at basket ball.

America may provide aid, but do you not think that aid comes at a cost? They have to pay all that money back or repay America for the help they received in some way, be it cheaper sales or allying. The reason I talked about the pressure America puts on companies is because, that and the huge market dominance they have. If a country upsets the American government they could just impose trade sanctions and cause huge issues for that country. Although that is dependent on their exports I suppose.

You proved my point in what you said

Of course they did. But the tech I am currently using, I'd bet that they didn't have any, maybe a small amount, of input in to the actual product. Bill Gates is not the sole developer at Microsoft, nor would he have the time to help develop such a thing. He runs a multi-billion dollar company, he doesn't make the product.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/made There is the definition of made.

If you've seen my other posts you know I am not in anyway a fan of main stream media, nor do I support Google in any way. But you cannot deny these facts (Except the first one I guess. I made an error there). I have listed nothing but pure facts about the population of America there. What would me moving to America change? The facts I listed are still very real.

I wouldn't call this arguing, more debating. Arguing implys, at least to me, there isn't any real coherence to any of this. And far too mature to have a talk about the pit falls of America? I couldn't go up to a 6 year old and start talking about it, I'd personally class this as a rather mature topic.

Nuclear weapons must be taken into account. See the below video:

Additionally, one must consider the amount of guns per capita the US has:

This is made more significant through the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution; if foreign invaders attack, citizens have the right to defend themselves.

"You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." - Isoroku Yamamoto

Atheists are just as dumb as Christians.

>What would me moving to America change?
You would have far more freedom of speech, for starters.

You should focus more on your own country's problems. For instance, this blatant attempt to implement Sharia law in the UK:
"The leader of Britain's Labour Party, Ed Miliband, has vowed, if he becomes the next prime minister in general elections on May 7, to outlaw 'Islamophobia.'"

So the UK does not have religion and people there do not believe in a "God"?

So the UK Does not have people going through divorce because love did not work for them?

So bill gate did not MAKE Microsoft in the beginning a magical team appeared out of nowhere and did it all? I don't think so. He himself made the software at first then Steve and Bill ended up helping one another as it was starting to grow in the 90s it was not a multi billion dollar company in the beginning.

So the UK is not in debt? as you said smaller country right so if your country was as big as the US don't you think the debt would be pretty damn high too?.

So no other country can impose sanctions against the US? the UK itself has fined American companies millions of dollars.

Weapons have been used since the beginning of the human race, its not going to stop, war will always be a thing.

And stopping the hope of peace look at the damn middle east, look at ISIS your own damn people killing innocent kids, adults, journalists from multiple countries by slitting there throats, burning them alive, throwing them off roofs. YOUR OWN PEOPLE are doing this. Multiple people from the UK have been linked to helping if not joined ISIS. Stop blaming America for violence and no world peace, if you want that then tell EVERY single country in the world that because it will take a global, local, and hard working effort to make that happen.

Look at North Korea putting people in concentration camps, starving people to death, killing them for no reason, killing families for 1 simple mistake.

Look at Russia shooting down passenger planes killing innocent people, invading Ukraine killing multiple people.

Look at Israel, Iran, etc.

You know sure the US has violence but at least we have a justice system that is being improved on. You cannot blame the US for wanting to take down a global threat that not only effects the US but your country as well.

And the Red Cross and other AID does not get paid back. It is all donations and government funding to help the people in need the US asks nothing in return.
