I've started the process SEing a Logitech mouse with my mouse's S/N (it's broken  ). Since its warranty from manufacture date is up, the rep requested that I send a receipt instead, so they can consider the receipt's purchase date. Where should I get a receipt that cannot be cross-checked  (or is this of any worry)?

Locate a store that stocks the mouse but Is no longer In business/closed down.
