Keylogging just doesnt work when the file is .exe is there a way to change this

Can you specify your problem please? If the program isn't working, it won't be because of its extension.
You can try changing the extension to ".com" but I don't think it will help you.

As 1llusion said, you should specify your problem. Are you talking about a keylogger server or the keylogger GUI? If you are, both of them must be applications (.exe) in order to work.

I think he means that he wants to disguise the server with an another extension, because then it would be easier to spread.

yes if i could disguise it as a jpg file or .avi people would be less suspicious

I belive that there is a way to bind it with a .jpeg , not sure how to.

yah ive tried that with a crypter i received from the forums but you cant pick a jpeg file to forge and then bind the key logger to it

use metasploit to hide ur bug in jpeg or in avi...
