I need to order something off amazon to use this weekend but I don’t have the money for it so I’m just returning it when I’m done. If I were to use the serial number off the product and the receipt from amazon to try and get a replacement from the company, would they be able to see that the item was returned to amazon? I know a lot of companies go and cross reference the order number, so when they do that will they see that it was returned already?

Would depend on what it is I'd imagine. Some codes when used in the system will not be good. Also if it's software a lot of software to my knowledge if opened isn't returnable.
