Yea canned good don't expired unless the can is damaged, rusted, dented badly, etc it will last a lifetime.
And I might write up a guide for that though.
Spoiler:
The steamboat Bertrand, carrying cargo up the Missouri River to Virginia City, Montana Territory, sank on April 1, 1865, after hitting a snag in the river north of Omaha, Nebraska. Half of its cargo was recovered 100 years later.
In 1974, samples of canned food from the wreck, including brandied peaches, oysters, plum tomatoes, honey, and mixed vegetable, were tested by the National Food Processors Association. Although their appearance, smell and vitamin content had deteriorated, there was no trace of microbial growth and the food was determined to be still safe to eat

Of course, you got to know your area, wild edibles, how to improvise, how to make shelter, how to hunt, how to protect yourself, at least basic first aid, etc.
Without at least basic skills your chances decline by id say more then 50%.

Well believe what you want. I on the other hand would rather prepare and end up being wrong then to not prepare and be right.
Scenarios already happened so there is no denying the fact that it can happen.
