Have a broken Ps5 , Sony wants to charge me about $200 for repairs.. Department stores are checking sn's for returns.
Any ideas?

Order one from a big retailer and swap Sealed Box method. Maybe easier with a refurbished/repaired/returned one.

Just brainstorming.
Maybe if you get a really dumb employee to take your return, you can get away with it if it's a generic sticker you slapped on.
Just one of those white stickers with a barcode, S/N and a number you printed on it, you stick it over the actual S/N. I don't recommend tho and it's a bit of work.
It needs to look legit.
