So I decided to go ahead and try to box for a pair of headphones and made it clear that the box was tampered with but the company replied that they couldn’t see a sign of the package being opened prior. If anyone could help with a way to save that would be greatly appreciated.

Stating the obvious, did you tear the box consistent with the size of the headphones, and then used different colored tape to seal It prior to sending?

What I did was used black tape first then cut it open with the label cut in half too. Then I put a different colored tape over it and made it look real sloppy and i also roughed up the box to make it look like it was hit and crumpled.

After all that, they replied with something to this effect?

They're trying to dismiss your claim altogether. As opposed to companies who normally ask for photos, reverse the role and ask demand them to take a photo of the box (every angle) and send It to you.
