Anyone tried out this store? They have pretty good products (Whey Protein, etc) but are mainly located in the US. Shipping is available to EU but i'm not sure if that would be a good idea

Thoughts or experience?

Shipping from USA to EU has pros & cons:
+ theoretically increases chances of the package getting damaged.
+ can obfuscate, or at least complicate any potential investigation with the carrier.
- they could feel less concerned about your case, knowing there's not much you can do against them.
- they could say they dont have shipping insurance for international delivery.

You have to dig through their Terms & Conditions.
Even better, ask them directly, as a "worried customer who experienced similar incidents with prior purchases from other shops" etc...

I have no experience dealing with them, but I never had a claim of this sort rejected.
If you're gonna consume the stuff, just puncture the packaging, take some horror pics of the spilled powder, then put it in some new jar for storage.

In some other thread, user reported that MyPr0tein actually denied a claim like this, but this is ridiculous.
No way they could prove it was delivered undamaged, as long as the claim / pics are believable, which is easy with powder.

Again, make sure they won't hide behind some deceitful policy like "refuse the package on delivery or we dont care".

I appreciate your thoughtful input.

Actually checked a bit of their terms and was able to see this excerpt:

Quote:Products that are opened and have been used are eligible for website credit (issued in the form of a e-gift card). Additionally, customers found abusing or manipulating this program will forfeit the ability to return opened items and potentially future orders. Eligibility for this program will be determined at the discretion of Bowmar Nutrition. We do issue a $9.99 processing fee that is subtracted from your store credit.

but in my case this does not interest me.

I'm following your advice on contacting them first to see their response.
If going forward with this, they also allow payments with Paypal so this is a plus for my side.

Yea I dont think their policy about returning opened items is relevant here.
Although I would say it's positively surprising, indicating they may be quite relaxed as a company.

Definitely. Even without bothering opening a claim, just threatening them to does wonders in the case of damaged goods.
