As an IDE I'd recommend Visual Studio with the PyTools 2.0 plugin, it fully utilizes the VS Intellisense and all other (usefull) functions.
You can have multiple environments (I'm running 2.5.1 (for school), 2.7.6 and 3.3.3).
People have called VS the best IDE countless times, and now you can code Python with it.
