So i brought a ps5 from Big W and it arrived the other day, a day after it arrived i complained to them that if had not arrived. Yesterday they contacted me saying that they have started an investigation with Australia Post. When it was delivered no one was home so only verification they have is a photo of it left outside the front gate. Should i be worried about the investigation or not because from previous experience they do send someone out to check it was delivered properly. Thankyou.

Australia Post are (at times) disorganized when Investigating consignments, so It may take a while to receive a response.

When it was delivered no one was home so only verification they have is a photo of it left outside the front gate

Perfect DNA material.

Under the above circumstances, the photos are useless. Anyone could've stolen the package while It was left unattended.

Should i be worried about the investigation or not

Not at all.

It's simply part of protocol to move forward with the claim.

I always wonder if this is more of a pressure tactic instead of genuinely helping look for the lost package.

Carrier investigations are never worth anxiety, tbh. If things go south for your refund there are a myriad of options you can use to resolve the situation and at least get your money back.

In case the a DNA doesn't work out, and you don't want to press the issue, a simple "my neighbour picked it up" works wonders to diffuse it.

Well, it's all set out pretty well. Australia Post did leave it Outside my Gate 4 Meters from a MAIN RD insight from the footpath & road so anyone walking past could have seen the ps5 and stolen it correct? Hopefully, it does work out well but if it doesn't I will have to say that my neighbor did pick it up. But I am happy to take this as far as they need to go because I do have a valid reason and as far as I am concerned "I don't have my package"
